Enolsoft PDF Converter OCR User Guide

Enolsoft PDF Converter OCR can multiple convert PDF to docx, xlsx, pptx, pages, key, txt and so on. With OCR function, it can convert scanned PDF into searchable PDF and other documents. Enolsoft PDF Converter OCR also allows you to create PDF from docx, pptx, html, epub, etc. To facilitate your user of Enolsoft PDF Converter OCR, there are four parts to get started.

 

Part 1  Download & Install

For Mac Version

1. You can download the installation package of Enolsoft PDF Converter OCR for Mac from the below link.

2. Install Enolsoft PDF Converter OCR with the downloaded package.

Double-click the .dmg file.

Drag the Enolsoft PDF Converter OCR icon to Applications folder.

For Windows Version

1. You can download the installation package of Enolsoft PDF Converter OCR for Windows from the below link.

2. Install Enolsoft PDF Converter OCR with the downloaded package.

Double-click the .exe file to run it.

Select a language and then select a folder to install the program

Click Next > Next > Install to continue the installation process, when the below window appears, it means that the program has been installed successfully.

Part 2  Activation (Optional)

After installing the program, you need to activate the program if you want to use the full version features.

1. Go to Lauchpad or Applications folder, double click Enolsoft PDF Converter OCR to run the program, and then click the key icon at the top right corner.

2. Copy-n-paste the license code into the popped-up window, click Activate.

Part 3 Application Operating

Part 3.1 How to convert PDF/scanned PDF to DOCX?

Step 1 Add PDFs

There are 3 ways to add the PDFs:

1. Drag-n-drop the target PDFs on the main interface directly

2. Click  button, select the target PDFs in the pop-up window, click Open

3. Click File> Add Files… on the menu bar, select the target PDFs in the pop-up window, click Open

 

To delete the added PDFs, there are 2 ways below:

1. Select the target PDFs, click  button

2. Click File> Clear All, then all the added PDFs will be cleared

 

Tips: If you want to convert a password protected PDF, you need to click icon of PDF list to enter the open password.

 

Step 2 Select range (Optional)

If you don't want to convert all pages, you can select "Range”, type the page's number you want to convert and separate the page number with comma.

Step 3 Select the output format as "to DOCX"

Click  to select the output format as "to DOCX"

Tips:

If you want to to more settings to get an acurate result, you can click  after the output format to change advanced settings.

1. Layout Settings: You can choose to prioritize text recognition or the page layout.

2. OCR Settings:  

a. Check this option when you want to convert a scanned PDF file, don't forget to select a proper language with the Language Option.

b. If you haven't downloaded the OCR Module yet, when you check this option, it will pop up a window to ask you to download the OCR Module, just click OK to download it.

Step 4 Select a save location and click  to start the conversion.

When the conversion completes, you can directly click the checkmark icon  to locate the converted file.

 

Part 3.2 How to convert scanned PDF to editable PDF?

Step 1 Add scanned PDFs

There are 3 ways to add the PDFs:

1. Drag-n-drop the target PDFs on the main interface directly

2. Click  button, select the target PDFs in the pop-up window, click Open

3. Click File> Add Files… on the menu bar, select the target PDFs in the pop-up window, click Open

 

To delete the added PDFs, there are 2 ways below:

1. Select the target PDFs, click  button

2. Click File> Clear All, then all the added PDFs will be cleared

 

Tips: If you want to convert a password protected PDF, you need to click icon of PDF list to enter the open password.

Step 2 Download OCR Module

After imporgint an image or scanned PDF file, Enolsoft will auto pop up a window to ask you to download the OCR Module, click OK to download it.

Please note that you must move Cisdem PDF Converter OCR to Applications folder, so that the OCR can be downloaded successfully.

 

Step 3 Select range (Optional)

Step 4 Select the output format as OCR PDF and click  to select a proper language.

 

Step 5 Convert

Select a save location and click  to start the conversion.

When the conversion completes, you can directly click the checkmark icon  to locate the converted file.

 

Part 3.3 How to create PDF from other file formats?

Step 1 Switch to "Creator" tab, and then add files

There are 3 ways to add the PDFs:

1. Drag-n-drop the target PDFs on the main interface directly

2. Click  button, select the target PDFs in the pop-up window, click Open

3. Click File> Add Files… on the menu bar, select the target PDFs in the pop-up window, click Open

 

To delete the added PDFs, there are 2 ways below:

1. Select the target PDFs, click  button

2. Click File> Clear All, then all the added PDFs will be cleared

 

Step 3 Select a save location and click  to start the conversion

Tips: 

1. If you want to merge all the imported files into one PDF file, you can slide on  before clicking 

2. When the conversion completes, you can directly click the checkmark icon  to locate the converted file.

 

Part 4 Update Application

We always suggest users to use the latest version of the program.

When you launch Enolsoft PDF Converter OCR, Enolsoft will auto check for updates.

Also, you can click Enolsoft PDF Converter OCR > Check for Updates… on the left top menu bar to manually update it.
