According to PCMAG, YouTube appears to be testing out a new feature called the “Moodwall”, which is designed to better help YouTubers find videos that relate to the kinds of things they want to watch.

This element goes one step above YouTube’s standard channels and categories, as it allows users to now select a “vibe” or feeling that they want to try and achieve within the videos themselves – selections like “funny,” “gross,” “inspiring,” or “catchy,” to name a few.

Presumably, clicking on one of these “feelings” will pull up an endless stream of videos that match a particular feeling users are trying to achieve. We say “presumably,” because it appears as if YouTube is just testing out the new feature for a subset of its users. We don’t know how big that subset is, how to get in on the test, or when YouTube might be looking to roll out this feature to the entirety of its platform.
